Hexagon expands availability of Toro HP horizontal arm to Europe and the Americas
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has expanded availability of the Toro HP horizontal arm coordinate measuring machine (CMM) across Europe and the Americas to bring a large-scale inspection solution to manufacturers seeking to improve quality control while managing cost pressures and production demands.
Already established in the Chinese market, the expansion strengthens Hexagon’s complete portfolio of horizontal arm CMMs, from cost-effective production inspection with Toro HP to the high-performance Bravo platform.
Toro HP is designed for high-volume manufacturing environments where large components and assemblies require fast, reliable dimensional inspection directly within or alongside production operations.
“Manufacturers today face increasing pressure to maintain quality standards while controlling costs and keeping production moving,” said Gabriele Persichilli, Hexagon director of product management CMM.
“Toro HP provides a practical, scalable inspection solution for large-scale manufacturing environments, combining the performance manufacturers expect from a horizontal arm CMM with an accessible cost of ownership, simplified installation and lower operating costs through an air-free design that reduces energy consumption,” added Persichilli.
Designed for automotive and heavy-industry applications, Toro HP supports the inspection of large parts and assemblies where traditional measurement systems may be difficult to integrate into production workflows.
Its runway architecture enables easy access to measurement areas, while floor-mounted and flush-floor installation options provide flexibility for different factory layouts.
Hexagon wanted to create a system built for production environments so inspections can happen without disrupting the manufacturing flow. Flexible installation options, no compressed air requirement and support for near-line inspection workflows make this possible.
Compatibility with multi-sensor measurement technologies and integration with Hexagon metrology software and sheet metal inspection routines offer seamless integration.
Both Toro HP and Bravo support Hexagon’s HP-L-10.10 and HP-L-10.10 Lite laser scanners, so manufacturers can deploy advanced non-contact measurement capabilities across a wide variety of inspection workflows.
This expansion of Hexagon’s portfolio enables manufacturers to select the solution that best fits their production and quality requirements while maintaining speed and efficiency.
