CloudNC Quote Agent is its new AI agent to help manufacturers assess new jobs and prepare quotes more quickly, cutting quoting from hours to minutes and identifying manufacturing risks before a price is agreed.
Users forward a customer’s request for quote (RFQ) by email or upload 2 or 3D drawings and models to CloudNC Quote Agent. From there, the AI agent assesses the part for manufacturing risks and prepares a manufacturing plan, routing times, material and post-processing cost estimates and inspection requirements.
The estimator retains responsibility for reviewing and approving the final quote, but the agent can ask questions to review and resolve missing or unclear information.
Users can add equipment, capabilities, costs, stocked materials and preferences into Myshop, the dedicated area in CloudNC where the agent learns from interactions to tailor estimates, which can be replaced with suppliers’ prices.
“Every quote is a decision about which work a shop should take on and whether it can make money doing it. If that decision takes hours, customers can place the order elsewhere before the shop has even responded. Quote Agent gives estimators the manufacturing assessment and cost estimate to review in minutes,” said CloudNC COO Jason Bowes.
Quote Agent has been trained on CloudNC’s experience of quoting and manufacturing components in its own factory and decade of experience in developing AI.
DFM reports can be generated, including ballooned drawings with numbered inspection callouts, and first article inspection reports available in PDF or Excel format.
Quote Agent is a standalone product and does not require CAM Assist to be installed. The AI agent is free to try, with paid usage priced at $2.50 per part, with bulk discounts available.
