June is turning into a month of not to miss events – not only are the graduate shows in full flow, with New Blades heading up our pick of model making wonderment – but there’s fully fledged design genius on show as part of Sheffield Design Week.
The Made North conference is the hub of the action, taking place on 18 June with speakers, such as Design Museum director Deyan Sudjic and founder of Provenance Jessi Baker, tackling the theme of ‘Transformation’.
Sessions will look at how design can transform our behaviour and actions or simply make life easier in terms of accessing, enjoying and understanding real or virtual environments.
The full programme can be found here, and hurry – the early bird discount rate ends today! – securing your place for only £35.

There’s something for everyone – and as we found out last year, it’s well worth a day out.
