Mechatronics Designed, a builder of factory automation machines in Thailand, has launched MechCAD 2026 – a software based on its proprietary CAD/CAM software used for its own automation machinery design work.
Available on the Microsoft Store, MechCAD 2026 is a parametric CAD capable of opening native Solidworks SLDPRT/SLDASM and Alibre parts without requiring those programs installed, by using Mechatronics Designed’s own file readers, allowing users to assemble, detail and machine supplier files directly.
Additionally, it offers a toolset for assemblies of thousands of parts, production drawings, robot-cell and motion simulation, automatic BOM and CAM for milling and turning operations. Licensing is perpetual, costing from $990.
Also launched is MCAD 2026, a 2D drafting program that opens, edits and saves DWG/DXF directly, with AutoCAD-style commands and aliases, smart dimensions and a 700+ symbol electrical library. Available as a perpetual licence or as MCAD Web, a browser version.
A builder of automation machinery for the packaging industry since 2008 — from a single stand-alone station to a full automated line with robots and inspection – Mechatronics Designed operates from its headquarters in Pathum Thani in the northern reaches of Bangkok.
The company develops machinery and systems for over 40 brands across cosmetics, food and beverage, pharma and industrial manufacturing in Thailand and the South East Asian region. The company developed these software tools in house, built on the necessities of real machine design work and are used by its in-house engineers every day.
Already in the pipeline is an AI assistant that builds and edits models from plain-language requests, as well as further CAM tools.
