Aibuild and Generative Machine Company have partnered to advance AI-driven 5-axis desktop 3D printing in what it hopes will overcome the limitations of traditional 3-axis printing systems.
Generative Machine Company is an innovative UK startup advancing desktop 3D printing through AI-generated 5-axis FDM systems, and has collaborated with Aibuild and its toolpath and sliding software to add greater flexibility in component alignment and manufacturing strategies.
Both companies state that this collaboration is now market-ready and represents a breakthrough in intelligent manufacturing, combining advanced multi-axis hardware capabilities with sophisticated automation software.
“Our solution with Generative Machine represents an exciting convergence of next-generation hardware design and intelligent software automation,” said Aibuild COO Michail Desyllas.
“Their innovative approach to 5-axis printing, combined with our advanced automation capabilities, will unlock new possibilities for complex geometries and multi-directional prototyping and manufacturing that were previously impossible with traditional desktop systems.”
The integrated solution will leverage Aibuild’s advanced features including parametric slicing strategies, automated toolpath generation and multi-axis printing optimisation, all specifically tailored to desktop 5-axis manufacturing workflows.
This combination allows complex geometries to be printed without support structures and conformally, enabling improved surface finishes and part properties that can be tailored to specific use cases.
Aibuild is a software company with locations in London, UK and Silicon Valley, USA, that is targeting the additive manufacturing industry with cloud-connected and autonomous systems, integrating and partnering with a growing network of hardware manufacturers.
