Flexcompute and GridPro partner for high speed CFD

Flexcompute, producers of GPU-native CFD solver Flow360, and GridPro, experts in structured mesh generation, are partnering on an integrated solution aimed at accelerating computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.

The collaboration enables compatibility between GridPro’s precision mesh generation tools and Flow360’s high-performance CFD solver, with formal, joint support provided by both Flexcompute and Gridpro, eliminating concerns about interoperability.

The partnership is particularly valuable for organisations in the aerospace and defense sectors, where GridPro says it has already seen success developing meshes for in-house engineering teams. With Flow360 now fully compatible with GridPro workflows, these teams can incorporate the solver into existing processes, positioning Flow360 as a natural starting point in the simulation pipeline.

The joint effort targets critical applications such as supersonic aircraft design, rotorcraft aerodynamics, hypersonic vehicles, missiles, and other space and defense systems, where simulation accuracy and speed are paramount.

Flexcompute has been developed by engineering talent from MIT and Stanford, with its GPU-native technology designed to integrate into existing workflows.

“By combining GridPro’s robust meshing with Flow360’s solver speed and scalability, we’re enabling engineers to simulate complex geometries faster and with greater fidelity,” said Flexcompute president and co-founder Vera Yang.

“Ensuring the compatibility between GridPro and Flow360 enables engineers, particularly in aerospace and defense, to build high-fidelity CFD workflows with speed and confidence, using trusted tools from meshing to solution,” added GridPro president Peter Eiseman.
