SolidThinking acquires longtime rendering partner Solid Iris Technologies

Altair has solidified the visualisation capabilities of SolidThinking for future versions by acquiring Greek rendering technology company Solid Iris Technologies to its growing portfolio.

Solid Iris has aided rendering functionality in SolidThinking Evolve concept design software over the past several years, while maintaining its own flagship visualisation solution, Thea Render.

A Biased, Unbiased and GPU renderer with a rich set of features, Altair hopes by Integrating Thea Render within SolidThinking that its material system and own studio capabilities will contribute significantly to a completely new experience to visualise, model and design.
