The EOS M 300 series is the latest of the German company’s additive manufacturing solutions to benefit from software cooperation with Siemens NX CAD

EOS and Siemens have boosted their collaboration and cooperation between their additive manufacturing hardware and softwares, respectively.

The latest EOS M 300 series for metals 3D printing includes Siemens automation and drive technology from the Siemens comprehensive Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) portfolio.

The EOSPrint driver has received Siemens NX 12 integration that allows part optimisation of CAD data for EOS production systems – allowing for design, via topology optimisation and process simulation to print preparation within a single user interface.

The EOSPrint driver is now integrated into Siemens NX 12

The latest EOS driver module is seamlessly integrated into Siemens’ NX Fixed Plane (Powder Bed) AM software, supporting Siemens’ overall additive manufacturing solution offering.

Elsewhere, an EOS P 500 polymers 3D printer has been installed as part of the Siemens Additive Manufacturing Experience Centre in Erlangen, Germany.

“A fast industrialisation of additive manufacturing can only be unleashed by a close co-operation of experts from a software, automation and drive system angle with industrial 3D printing experts, as is the case with Siemens and EOS,” states Siemens VP of AM Dr. Karsten Heuser.

“We are therefore proud to move with EOS into the next level of industrialisation, which will help transforming additive manufacturing further from the prototyping phase into industrial serial production.”
