Bangalore-based DesignSense Software Technologies has launched the first of its software range for tool-design in SolidWorks.
There’s limited information available, although the software is said to make a tool designers job easier by ‘intuitively automating their tasks’, with this first version set to be for SolidWorks users, suggesting future editions for other major vendors.
The user interface is stripped back to simplified user inputs, with data entry updating all tooling component properties that make up the die-set.
A bill of materials is generated from the model, giving a quick summary of the components that go into the die-set.
“Our goal is to make our clients successful by reducing the cost and complexity of engineering” said Nainar Ramaswamy, managing director of DesignSense Software, doing his best to explain about the software.
