CADSoftTools releases ABViewer 16.2 to improve PDF-to-DWG conversion and enhance 3D viewing performance and stability

CADSoftTools ABViewer has been updated, improving PDF-to-DWG conversion.

Designed for professionals to view and convert the most popular CAD formats, edit 2D drawings and generate G-code for CNC machines when working with metal processing and industrial machinery.

Working with PDF files instead of original DWG drawings is a common challenge in engineering workflows. PDF was designed as a secure and non-editable format for sharing, so it often becomes a limitation when files require some modifications. Recreating drawings manually is time-consuming and expensive.

ABViewer 16.2 helps engineers reconstruct editable CAD drawings from PDF to DWG files accurately.

The update improves stability when opening 3D files, especially STEP models on systems with specific graphics configurations.

Version 16.2 resolves compatibility issues related to graphics card drivers, ensuring more reliable visualisation of 3D models across a wider range of hardware.

G-code generation improvements include an improved equidistant line construction algorithm and user interface, and a select similar tool has been added to editor mode for quickly selecting objects of the same type.

Founded in 2000, CADSoftTools develops software solutions for efficient work with CAD drawings. Its products support more than 50 formats, including DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES and STL.

This update aims to reduce interruptions in engineering workflows and improve overall usability on less powerful systems.

Engineering teams often use multiple CAD tools that support different formats. ABViewer helps ensure interoperability by converting files to a wide range of formats.

Improved DXF and DWG support enhances compatibility across platforms, reduces data loss during file exchange and ensures better collaboration between teams.
