DyeMansion has acquired fellow German 3D printing post processing company ASM, expanding its vapour smoothing portfolio with an entry-level production solution.
ASM’s VX1 is an entry-level vapor smoothing solution, trusted by more than 50 customers worldwide. With a small footprint, the all-in-one plug-and-play design is designed for service providers, corporate innovation teams and small-scale production environments.
The VX1 can process common materials such as PA12, PA11, and TPU. Alongside other DyeMansion products, it has been integrated into the Print-to-Product workflow, connecting with other post-processing steps such as cleaning and colouring. The system uses a non-toxic reusable solvent cartridge system that is PFAS-free and contains no CMR or vPvM/PMT substances.
“The 3D printing industry needs strong players that can sustainably consolidate the market and lead it into the next phase. That’s exactly our mission at DyeMansion – and with the acquisition of ASM, we are sending a clear signal to the market and our partners,” said DyeMansion CEO Felix Ewald.
“We have been working together successfully for several years, and the ASM team has done an outstanding job. We’re excited to officially welcome them as part of the DyeMansion family.”
The addition of ASM technology means that DyeMansion now offers a comprehensive vapour smoothing portfolio – from entry to high industrial solutions – making it applicable to all volumes of 3D printing.
“DyeMansion is the ideal home for our technology,” said Philipp Ziegler, global product & market manager VX1 at DyeMansion. “Together, we can bring our entry-level vapour smoothing solution to a much broader market and further increase its value for the industry.”
