Siemens accelerates engineering simulation with a unified AI-powered Simcenter portfolio integrating Altair technology
The latest Simcenter software release sees Siemens combine its acquired Altair simulation technologies into the product to create a more comprehensive, connected engineering workflow.
The update looks to address the need for faster simulation, earlier insight and more connected workflows across disciplines.
Simcenter PhysicsAI is now integrated across more products within the Simcenter portfolio. Data and models generated with Simcenter PhysicsAI can be leveraged by the new industrial AI orchestration software Siemens’ Intelligence Centre X.
Simcenter PhysicsAI is Siemens’ geometric deep learning technology that transforms simulation data into high-fidelity predictive models that help engineers evaluate more concepts and make confident design decisions up to 1,000x faster than traditional solver simulations.
When integrated into Simcenter Inspire, engineers can predict results across a broad spectrum of analysis and production processes, from general-purpose structural analysis through casting, moulding, die stamping and extrusion processes.
The update extends Siemens’ PhysicsAI support in Simcenter HyperMesh and multi-GPU support for STAR-CCM+ to train AI models from CFD simulations 10x faster.
Simcenter PhysicsAI Generate is new to the portfolio for teams to create design concepts in seconds using existing knowledge and product data.
The new release brings simulation earlier into the design process by allowing engineers to evaluate performance directly on 3D CAD models with minimal preparation by integrating Simcenter Simsolid with Siemens’ Designcenter
Designcenter geometry will be transferred to Simcenter Simsolid, loads and constraints added, and simulation runs directly on the geometry without the need to create a mesh.

Engineers can link electromagnetic, thermal and system simulation workflows, enabling earlier insight into the performance of electric powertrain systems.
New capabilities such as exporting reduced motor models from Simcenter Flux into system and 3D simulation tools, alongside enhanced multiphysics simulation in Simcenter STAR-CCM+, enhance accuracy in thermal behaviour and support collaboration across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
