ModeFrontier gets UI facelift, while Volta boosts enterprise collaboration in Esteco 2018 line-up

The latest release of Esteco ModeFrontier has introduced a fresh user-friendly look: organising the visual space, centralising and simplifying a number of actions and improving the general usability of the software.

A Home Panel makes it more intuitive than ever to create, open and save projects, while simplifying its integration with Volta – giving quick access to the ModeProcess and ModeSpace applications, as well as other utilities and useful contents, such as user manuals, template projects and tutorials.

The new Toolbar displays workflow editor, run analysis and design space environments with freshly designed icons, giving a new look and feel to the Italian-based company’s software interface.
The node, gadget and chart Libraries are now fully customisable and leave the main working area entirely free.

Volta has been boosted by the new ‘My Teams Volta’ feature, creating task-centric data hubs where teams are able to focus on specific design tasks and get work done without the distraction of unrelated data.

For design optimisation, Esteco’s suite of best-in-class algorithms has acquired EGO – Efficient Global Optimizer – a multi-strategy, single objective optimiser based on Gaussian Processes.

Teams can now achieve high converge rate and efficiency in finding the global optimum particularly when performing heavy simulations.

The new EGO algorithm is best used with constrained single-objective problems with many local optima.

Design of Experiments and scheduler nodes are paired into a Scheduling Start node. While it maintains all the functionalities of the two previous nodes, the layout of the new node enables less experienced users to set up an optimization and run their project very quickly and with little effort.
