Hexagon has acquired UK CAM software company Vero

Sweden-based Hexagon, most commonly known for its metrology and geospatial measurement solutions, has announced its takeover of Vero software.

Vero is well-known for its product portfolio including Alphacam, Edgecam, Radan, SURFCAM, VISI, and WorkNC, supplying products to more than 45 countries, and being based in the UK.

For Hexagon the acquisition strengthens its software offerings, providing the means to close the gap of making data fully actionable by extending the reach of its newly developed Metrology Planning Software (MMS) to include CAM.

Vero Software will be fully consolidated as of August 2014, although no cost figures have been released. Hexagon’s company turnover for 2013 amounted to approximately €80 million.
