A new wax paste 3D printer should offer better casting options for users

Envisiontec is hoping the new WaxEra 3D Printer and paste-based 3D printable material will combine as an innovative solution for direct investment casting for the jewelry industry.

The Perfactory WaxEra, is a DLP printer that can print E-Wax (not ‘ear wax’ as we first read it…) a wax paste with a photosensitive polymer binder designed for jewelry investment casting.

An alternative to liquid based polymers, according to its creators the E-Wax allows parts to be built using highly filled materials.
“Whether you want a highly filled ceramic part for high temperature resistance or a highly filled wax part for direct investment casting, the WaxEra brings 3D printing into a new era by delivering innovative 3D printing solutions to an expanding selection of new markets,” said Envisiontec CEO Al Siblani.

“These new highly filled paste materials will allow EnvisionTEC to penetrate new markets, and deliver 3D printing solutions not previously available in the 3D printing space.”
