For anyone considering coming to our amazing, free, live event on 15 April at Warwick Arts Centre, now is the time to start planning your travel.
There’s very little point in coming to a free event if you realise that it’s going to cost you £300 in train fares, or that you’re going to miss the start, or worse, have to beg for a lift off your mates at six in the morning and owe them a massive favour for years to come.
So we’ve done a bit of research for you (apologies if you live in a smaller town or village) to find the fastest and cheapest ways* to get to the event by train this year – remembering you want to arrive as close to 9am as possible.
The event is at Warwick Arts Centre, but you want to be getting a train to Coventry then jump in a quick and cheap taxi to the event. Thankfully this is a West Coast Mainline station, so services are regular from lots of other cities.
London – The 1 hour express service from Euston at 7.43am – cost = £20
Manchester – The 2 hour express service from Piccadilly at 6.27am – cost = £27.50
Leeds – The 2hr 50min service from Leeds at 6am – cost = £58
Liverpool – The 2hr 20min service from Lime Street at 6.30am – cost = £37.90
Cardiff – The 2hr 46min service from Central at 6.24am – cost = £58.50
Nottingham – The 1hr 47min express service from Nottingham at 6.37am – cost = £23.90 (first class!)
For anyone travelling from further afield (or making tricky connections such as Newcastle or Portsmouth) there’s low cost onsite accommodation available for the preceding evening that can be arranged when registering for your ticket.
For more information on getting to the event please refer to the Visit section of the DEVELOP3D LIVE website
*Prices correct at time of writing, single journey. We have nothing to do with the operating companies, who have the right to change all of this at a whim.
