Creaform Silver line-up adds power to entry-level 3D Scanning

Creaform has released a new HandyScan 3D Silver line-up of handheld 3D scanners, targeting SMEs and professionals wanting to take 3D scanning in-house.

Creaform Silver 3D scanner HEROBilled as an ideal tool for designers and engineers looking for a ‘powerful and accessible way to improve product development, shorten time-to-market, and reduce development costs’, the Silver is the latest sub-category in the Creaform line-up.

Portable, lightweight and quick to set up, the Silver line of Creaform HandyScan models can be up and running in under two minutes, either in-house or on site.

Developed and manufactured in North America, the Silver series are labelled as Creaform’s ‘accessible’ price offering. Available in two models – the HandyScan 307 and 700 – the units start at $19,990/€17,400 and $29,900/€25,900, respectively.

Both models use 7 red laser crosses to quickly capture the surfaces in the entire field of view, with a scan area of 275 x 250 mm, suitable for capturing parts of 10mm up to 4m.

Creaform states that the Silver 307 can capture up to 0.040 mm, while the Silver 700 is set up to capture detail up to 0.030 mm.

The Silver product family fits into the brand’s existing portable 3D scanner line-up, which also includes Go!Scan 3D white light; HandyScan Black series and MetraScan 3D blue laser products.
