Stratasys has unveiled a range of new FDM 3D printing solutions designed to accelerate the use of additive manufacturing on the factory floor, led by its new F900 family.

The F900 is available in a new series of three solutions: the F900, the F900 AICS (Aircraft Interiors Certification Solution), and the F900 PRO, all boasting 914.4 x 609.6 x 914.4 mm build area, that can be split to provide two ‘build zones’ for either small or large build sheets.

The F900 Aircraft Interiors Certification Solution (AICS), announced at the Paris Air Show, is a solution for flight-worthy parts.

The F900 PRO variant is set-up for using ULTEM 9085 resin, including all the benefits of the AICS product, it extends the high repeatability developed for AICS to all industries.

All the family will be able to print in the stock FDM materials from Stratasys’ range, with the addition of specialist materials to be made available – such as the latest PEEK materials, including Antero 800Na, while notable features include an MTConnect-ready interface.

Stratasys states that owners of existing Fortus 900mc systems will be able to upgrade to any of the three current F900 systems, but give no costing as yet.

In addition, Stratasys is also offering the high-performance FDM Nylon 12 carbon fibre-filled material on a specialised Fortus 380, expected to ship in Q2 – Q3 of this year.
