Hololight Stream Runtime has now been added to Autodesk VRED in a move to make its XR experiences faster and easier to deploy.
Hololight state that Stream Runtime is designed to work seamlessly with Autodesk VRED, allowing users to experience any OpenXR-supported application directly on their XR devices.
Installation is straightforward: once Hololight Stream Runtime is set up on a PC or workstation, users simply click the stream button within Autodesk VRED and connect their headset via the Hololight Stream Client.
Device Agnostic, the combined solution from Hololight and Autodesk VRED allows users to stream experiences to a wide range of devices, including HoloLens 2, Meta Quest, HTC VIVE, PICO, and the Apple Vision Pro.
Rendering is offloaded to external servers or the cloud, ensuring high-fidelity visuals with no compromise on performance or security. This flexibility ensures that users can access top-tier immersive experiences regardless of their XR device.
Both parties say that Hololight’s technology, working alongside Autodesk VRED, allows 3D files to remain securely within the data centre, with no local storage or processing on the headset, positioning it for industries like automotive and aerospace.
