Innovate UK has launched the 2018 edition of its Women in Innovation Awards – allowing business women to apply for one of 8 Women in Innovation Awards – which includes £50,000 funding each and a bespoke package of mentoring, coaching and business support.
Judges are looking for women who are rising stars looking to make a significant impact towards one of what it regards as the Industrial Strategy Grand Challenges: AI and Data, Healthy Ageing, Clean Growth, and The Future of Mobility.
The competition is open to female founders, co-founders or senior decision makers working in UK-based companies that have been operating for at least one year.
A spokesperson for Innovate UK, said: “We want to support women who are at a critical stage with their business, where an award will enable them to take an important step forward.
“The funding should help them make a real difference to innovation in the UK.”
