Sheffield Design Week returns this weekend to showcase the city’s design and manufacturing heritage as well as its future

Sheffield Design Week uncovers the rich design heritage and future in one of the UK’s most creative northern cities.

Taking place annually, this week long festival plays host to an array of local, regional, national and international design, architectural and creative names with an exciting programme, including exhibitions, workshops, talks, design conferences, installations, product launches, open studios and walking trails.

The week’s worth of activity will join together venues across Sheffield and beyond in the 2016 celebration, with this weekend’s highlights coming from talks at My Fathers Heart (featuring Anwar Studio and Dwiss), seeking out the various mini pavilions across the city, before wrapping up the experience with a visit to the Made in Sheffield exhibition at the Millennium Gallery, showcasing the internationally-renowned making and manufacture that takes place in the city.
