Materialise has added 3D scanning to its long list of in-house services

Belgium’s giant 3D printing software and bureau service provider Materialise is adding scanning and measurement services to its repertoire.

The Leuven-based company already boasts a design and engineering team supported by over 100 3D printing machines of all sizes, specialists for every technology, and a battery of software developers, with scanning now giving it “the complete solution”.

With the addition of a scanning and measurement service, the team aims to offer additional possibilities for quality control, reverse engineering and scan for 3D Printing.

The technology should enable further quality control checks and reverse engineering of 3D printed parts
