3D scanner firm Revopoint has partnered with KVS, the developer of Quicksurface 3D software, to build a comprehensive solution for reverse engineering.
The move looks to build a seamless pipeline from scanning parts and processing them into usable 3D CAD files. Revopoint will bundle its scanning hardware with Quicksurface software to all its customers globally, including an initial 30-day free trial licence with purchase and upgrade options.
“We recognise that 3D scanning is just the start of the process. As we expand further into engineering and manufacturing applications, our customers seek a full end-to-end solution to progress from the original part to manufacturable CAD,” said Vivian Li, Revopoint co-founder and head of 3D Scanner BU.
KVS CEO Kostadin Vrantzaliev, added: “We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to partner with Revopoint3D. We have invested heavily for many years in making professional-level reverse engineering as accessible and easy to use as possible. Our philosophy here is fully aligned with that of Revopoint3D, and it is a privilege to be recognised as their reverse engineering solution of choice.”
Since its founding in 2014, Revopoint 3D has rapidly grown into a global enterprise throughrobust R&D and advanced production capabilities to produce cutting-edge technologies, ranging from micro-structured optical chips to high-precision 3D vision algorithms.
KVS’ expertise includes 3D software solutions such as Quicksurface, Mesh2Surface for Rhinoceros, and more, which aim to provide a powerful combination to significantly enhance the efficiency of transforming scan data into usable CAD data. KVS runs R&D from Sofia, Bulgaria and commercial operations from Cambridge, UK.
