The Stratasys J850 Pro is now available, with the non-colour 3D printing variant retaining the full gamut of Stratasys Polyjet multi-material 3D printing, but at 30% less than the RRP of its colour-printing sibling.
The newest edition to the top of the range J8 Series, the new Stratasys J850 Pro is targeting form, fit and functional testing.
Stratasys is positioning this particular model as being tailored specifically for engineering needs, for producing prototypes, for concept verification, design validation, and functional performance.
This all comes from its rigid, flexible, and the ‘digital’ materials enabled by mixing them to varying shore hardnesses, giving the J850 Pro a wide range of applications within its 490 x 390 x 200mm build capacity.
Stratasys states that the latest model can print concept models ‘at twice the speed of legacy systems’ using the J850 Pro’s Super High Speed Mode, and at approximately half the cost per rates part, using its DraftGray material.
If the new Keyshot integration for full colour 3D printing also piques your interest further down the line, the J850 Pro is software-upgradeable to the Prime version and all its Pantone-verified goodness.
“We’ve seen the value to customers of our PolyJet 3D printers – in throughput, accuracy, reliability, and multi-material capabilities – and are excited to have the J850 Pro now bring that value to our engineering customers, at an attractive price,” said Stratasys’ design VP Shamir Shoham.
The 7 simultaneous materials give engineers the versatility to produce parts that match their needs, instead of requiring multiple 3D printing or traditional technologies, plus the additional post-processing and assembly required, saving time and costs.
Materials include the entire grayscale space of the Vero rigid family, the Agilus30 family of flexible materials, VeroClear, VeroUltra Clear, and Digital ABS materials.
“The ability to easily create prototypes delivers great value to engineering teams in different stages of the development cycle,” said Ofer Libo, product manager for the J850 Pro.
“In addition, the J850 Pro’s multi-material capabilities and large throughput enables them to test different designs, textures, and material properties to accelerate time to market and precisely deliver on user needs.”
