CDG 3D Tech has opened a new UK demonstration facility with warehouse and showroom for latest industrial 3D printers, 3D scanners and post-processing equipment in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
The new Additive Manufacturing Centre will house large-format industrial 3D printers and consumables from a range of metal, ceramic, plastic filament, pellet and resin machines, alongside 3D scanners and post-processing equipment, allowing customers and prospects to see demonstrations of the latest additive manufacturing machines and materials.
According to the Additive Manufacturing UK Action Plan, the global additive manufacturing (AM) market is projected to be worth between £3 billion and £4.5 billion within the next five years. The UK has the potential to grow its share of that global market from the current 4% to 7% by 2030.
Commenting on the company’s expansion CDG 3D Tech managing director Grant Cameron, said: “While 3D printing is now well established in the UK, Additive Manufacturing is only recently being adopted by general manufacturing companies. By opening our new AM Centre, we will be able to showcase the very latest industrial 3D printers and post-processing, so that we can help our UK customers to manufacture in metal, polymers and ceramics.”
As part of the company’s ongoing initiatives, a 3D Scanning Open Day is being held at the Basingstoke Additive Manufacturing Centre on 1 July 2025, followed by a 3D Printing AM Open Day on 25 September 2025.
