We are a design consultancy located in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.
Our recent move into an old school house, now design studio, allows our creative thinkers to thrive, designing products from furniture to retail displays and toys.
As well as Lord Design our location caters for a company called Junction Fifteen, which specialises in contemporary furniture for commercial use.”
What are your weapons of choice?
We use SolidWorks and Keyshot on all of our projects. These packages enable us to create 3D prototypes as well as photo realistic visuals. It is always great to see our ideas come to life.
What technology/product couldn’t you live without in your workspace?
Although using SolidWorks and Keyshot work for the majority of our projects, some clients require physical proof of concepts, which is where our 3D printer comes into play. It allows us to improve our design process by testing our deliverables before handing over to manufacture.
What is missing from your toolset?
Now that we have a workshop area we are looking to invest in equipment to enhance our prototyping capabilities. This will also aid us with increasing the product range for Junction Fifteen.
Is there anything that would make your design process run smoother?
Coffee on tap! That would definitely help.
