Wacom has launched the Intuos Pro, a graphics tablet with updated design features and its new Pro Pen 3.

The tablet features a new chip set which slims down form. Changes compared with previous versions include the ExpressKeys and touch buttons being moved to the top of the tablet, and two dials on the medium and large sizes of the tablet, with one dial on the small size. These can be used by both left and right handed people without any adjustment.

All models are Bluetooth-enabled with a wireless operating time of up to 16 hours. Up to three devices can be connected, one using a USB and two wireless, and users can switch between each device using a switch on the tablet.

The Intuos Pro is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems and with most creative applications.

With its programmable buttons for shortcuts and interchangeable grips and buttons, the Pro Pen 3 is designed to be customisable to the user’s preference.

A range of styluses manufactured in partnership with pen companies including Staedtler, Lamy and Dr. Grip are available.

Upon purchasing the Intuos Pro, users will receive free trials of Clip Studio Paint, MASV and Capture One software. They will also have access to Yuify, Wacom’s own software programme.

“As software evolves, the need for precision increases. When we started to redesign our flagship product, we began with the foundation of precision,” said Wacom senior vice president Koji Yano.
