The Foundry has revealed that it has cracked time travel and plans to launch a new product, codenamed ‘TIME’, later this year.
Yup, that’s right. Piece of cake.
After years of research, deep in basement of The Foundry’s London HQ, the new technology is fully operational – All that’s needed now is a physical form to house the tech, and that’s where you come in.
Artists and designers that enter the challenge must use MODO to visualise the product ‘TIME’ and/or create a consumer friendly advertisement to sell this groundbreaking technology to the masses.
The designs should convince the public that TIME will change their lives and that The Foundry is the only company that should be trusted with this type of significant leap in technology.
Entrants can download an extended MODO trial for the duration of the challenge and enter in one or more of the following categories:
– Product Design
– Print Advertising
– TV Advertising
The challenge is open until 17 September 2014.
The total prize pool is worth a whopping $35,000 and includes prizes from NVIDIA, Wacom, Makerbot, Video Co-Pilot and more. Winners will also be featured in a variety of publications, including our good selves.
“While our roots have been in software creation for the creative industries, our team have been working on this secret project for the past few years with incredible results!” boomed Brad Peebler, president of the Americas at The Foundry.
“I could not believe it when they cracked it and have been able to finally realise my dream of travelling back in time to solve the chicken/egg conundrum! We are excited to launch this challenge and see what people can cook up to house this amazing tech. Time is ticking.”
