Fuel3D has integrated “publish to Sketchfab” functionality into its view and edit software for its consumer scanner product.

The Sketchfab platform allows users to publish and find the best 3D content that has been modelled or scanned, integrating all major 3D creation tools, supports 28 native 3D formats, and displays them in a browser in real-time.

The Sketchfab 3D viewer can be embedded on any web page, as easily as a YouTube video.

With its commercial launch expected in early 2015, the Fuel3D scanner is currently shipping to the company’s Kickstarter backers.

“We are committed to helping make the creation of unique 3D content something that anyone can do, and Sketchfab provides us with a way of allowing our users to easily share their 3D scans and models with the world,” said Stuart Mead, CEO, Fuel3D.

“We are looking forward to seeing the results of our users’ experiences with our scanner and Sketchfab will be a great way to help them share those stories.”
