The acquisition of Livingston-based product design agency A2E along with that of Glasgow-based product design company WideBlue in April 2018 has seen Pivot International form the largest independent product design agency north of the border.
Kansas-based Pivot International has facilitate in 10 countries around the world and is looking to ‘bolster its presence in Europe’, with the 17 years-old A2E specialising in single-source solutions, from concept development and design, prototype testing to design for manufacturing.
David Ross, managing director of A2E Limited, said: “The acquisition will help serve our clients with an expanded team of experts, capabilities, resources and locations globally. We are very optimistic about our affiliation with Pivot and its effect for our clients and our employees.”
Fellow Scottish purchase WideBlue’s managing director Russell Overend, said that the move would help it provide the manufacturing resources needed to bring its medical product designs to market following clinical trials.
