Scan Computers has been named as an authorised Commercial Partner by Dassault Systèmes Solidworks for the first time in its 30 year history.
The new partnership allows Scan to broaden its existing capabilities in the CAD and CAE sector by adding Solidworks 3D CAD, 3DExperience Solidworks and DraftSight 2D CAD licenses into its portfolio. Scan says it will be able to add extra value for users by integrating Solidworks into bespoke graphics workstations built by Scan’s 3XS Systems division and hosted workstations on the Scan Cloud platform.
Scan pro graphics manager Carl Noble, said: “We’re proud to join the exclusive Solidworks Partner Program.
“Designing GPU-accelerated workstations for demanding applications such as Solidworks is our specialty. This partnership reflects our focus on innovation, education and expertise in all things Pro Graphics, and we are excited to deliver Solidworks solutions integrated with our 3XS Systems and in Scan Cloud.”
Gian Paolo Bassi, mainstream innovation senior VP at Solidworks, said: “At Dassault Systèmes Solidworks, we have always believed that innovation thrives through collaboration. Our partners are more than resellers — they are trusted advisors to the next generation of creators, engineers, and problem-solvers.
“Together, we are opening doors to new markets, scaling sustainable businesses, and accelerating the shift to cloud-based design. If you are ready to shape the future of how products are imagined and built, you are in the right place.”
Scan already holds Nvidia Elite Partner status, being the first UK reseller to achieve this certification, offering in-depth knowledge across Nvidia AI, DGX AI Compute Systems, DGX Cloud, Compute, and Nvidia Omniverse.
