Siemens Digital Industries has launched Simcenter X Advanced, its latest update to Simcenter X; a scalable, Software as a Service (SaaS) engineering simulation suite built to reduce IT complexity, enabling greater flexibility and collaboration.

This AI-powered feature looks to enhance productivity with intelligent user guidance and design exploration. Optimisation studies are boosted with AI-augmented design exploration techniques and a chat feature for documentation support, and setup guidance.

This update gives access to computational fluid dynamics (CFD), systems, mechanical simulation and multidisciplinary design analysis and optimisation (MDAO) for engineers to collaborate faster.

“Simcenter X Advanced is the next logical step in our strategic goal to democratise access to advanced multiphysics and optimisation for our community of innovators and industry leaders,” said Jean-Claude Ercolanelli, senior VP, Siemens simulation and test solutions and digital industries software.

The integration of a range of applications including Simcenter’s STAR-CCM+, Amesim and 3D software looks to eliminate silos, reduce IT overhead and boost productivity through concurrent pre- and post-processing sessions, flexible solvers and advanced capability access.

“By unifying our multiphysics and optimisation technologies and enhancing them with robust data management, collaboration capabilities, AI-driven guidance and design exploration, we’re empowering every engineer to accelerate innovation that matters, reduce complexity and make smarter decisions faster – anytime, anywhere,” added Ercolanelli.

CFD simulation with HPC and remote desktop enables instant, elastic compute and browser-based access to Simcenter STAR-CCM+. There’s no need to install and the integration has a flexible credit-based licensing.

Centralised SaaS deployment now allows customers to retain desktop workflows while benefiting from cloud-managed entitlements. This reduces onboarding time from days to minutes along with every user having access to secure, traceable and scalable simulation data management and collaboration with Teamcenter X is now available in Simcenter X.

Combining Simcenter modellers under a unified SaaS with embedded AI looks to expand access to multidisciplinary simulation. Simcenter X Advanced is available globally from November 2025 with tailored deployment options.
