By combining four individual sectors into one show, Advanced Engineering UK gives visitors the chance to view the comprehensive supply chain capabilities of each individual sector.

It also means that the event has attracted over 450 of the world’s top companies to show how their sectors are progressing, and to show off the technologies that are driving UK engineering back onto the world stage.

In excess of 140 expert presentations, hosted in four show-floor based open auditoriums, should make this free exhibition one of the most important of the year for anyone involved in engineering.

Aero Engineering

Now in its fourth year, Aero Engineering provides a showcase of technology, equipment, engineering capability partners supporting aero structures, powerplant and aero systems design, development, production and supply chain engineering applications.

Optional keynote programmes, in the delegate–based business forum, include a review of the current Aero Engineering business and technology landscape, with emphasis on key themes such as Aerospace Growth Partnership and the UK’s International Aerospace Strategy.

Exhibitors for 2012 include the likes of BAE Systems, Renishaw PLC, Hexagon Metrology,Nikon Metrology, Northwest Aerospace Alliance, Faro Technologies UK, Olympus Industrial, CT Machine Tools, Dantec Dynamics, and many others.

Composites Engineering

As the UK’s only annual exhibition showcase of suppliers and partners to the rapidly growing composite materials, design and processing industries, this segment has grown rapidly.

Appealing to designers, engineers, technicians, materials specialists, and procurement and management teams from both high-volume consumer products through to low volume advanced engineered products, there’s something to be picked up here for all industries.

New this year is the hosting of the Composites UK Innovation Awards Dinner, which, for those of us without a dinner jacket and black-tie, means a special session of talks in the exhibition hall to preview this year’s nominated companies and technologies.

An extensive free-to-attend programme of presentations features a number of key talks including the advances in composites processing and capability, motorsports applications, plus five ‘emerging technology’ sessions.

Plastics Electronics

From smart garments to intelligent packaging, the Plastic Electronics Show will be packed with technology developers, brand owners and integrators, that will present the latest printed, organic and flexible electronics capabilities.

Providing a cross section of illuminating talks under the banner ‘Plastic Electronics in Action’; the presentation schedule will be showcasing examples of printed/organic electronics in action, packaging applications, creating exciting new functionality, cost saving and environmental sustainability.

Automotive Engineering

Launching this year, Automotive Engineering 2012 will showcase the latest engineering services, design/production technology, specialist parts and component suppliers supporting the UK’s multiple vehicle design, development and production engineering programmes.

With Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, Nissan and GM spearheading recent investment of some £5.5 billion into the UK industry, over £3 billion worth of additional supply chain opportunities has been identified.

This event also provides a meeting point not only for UK and international supply chain partners to showcase themselves but also, as part of a wider group of events in the UK Advanced Engineering arena, to source and learn from outside of its traditional borders.
