Legendary graphic designer Saul Bass was a master of the art form of film pre-credits and posters, creating memorable products – sometimes more than the entire film that followed – from simple elements based around primary colours, animations and the everyday.
Style Is Substance takes a whirlwind look through the master’s back catalogue and breaks them down into design elements, which may or may not be inspiration for product design, but carries a message well: keep it simple.
