The latest iteration of the Shining 3D Einscan H range of handheld 3D scanners has been launched, with the Einscan H2 retaining its predecessor’s ergonomics, wide FOV, and convenient hybrid light sources, while adding several key improvements.
The Einscan H2 now has three VCSEL projectors integrated into the handset, which work together to scan dark surfaces more efficiently and adapt better to different lighting conditions.
Thanks to the extra VCSEL projector, infrared mode is able to deliver an accuracy of up to 0.1mm (0.05mm in white light mode) an improvement on the previous model’s 0.5mm. Shining 3D says it now also offers a better maximum resolution of 0.2mm instead of 0.25mm.
Combined with a now unlocked working range, the scanner can now capture objects of all sizes, while in infrared mode the distance can be manually set anywhere from 200mm to 1500mm.
Equipped with a 5MP camera, Shining 3D says that the new generation model will offer crispier, more pristine colours and finer detail capture, helping capture more useable working details faster than ever before.
Should you be looking to scan materials or living subject, Shining 3D says that a new ‘hair enhancement mode’ will better capture both light and dark hair adding to the brand’s “non-rigid” feature that auto-compensates slight body movements.
