Canon 3D printing customers will now have access to Magics

Canon Europe has announced a new strategic partnership with Materialise to give ‘existing and prospective’ customers across Europe access to Materialise Magics 3D printing software.

While Canon’s own technology, announced last year, has yet to see daylight, Canon has been busily distributing a range of 3D Systems’ 3D printers through its sales channels, and we expect this is the market set to benefit.

It’s unclear whether any of the specialist Materialise Modules for sintering or support generation are included in this deal.
“The creative and commercial opportunities for 3D Printing are vast and the market continues to evolve and expand,” said Chris Blake, sales and marketing director, 3D Printing at Canon Europe.

“As such, we are always looking for ways to enhance our existing proposition and add more value to our customers. We are therefore excited to partner with Materialise as part of our commitment to provide customers with the best 3D products and solutions, as well as unrivalled services and expertise.”
