DEVELOP3D Live 2013

1607 0

DEVELOP3D LIVE is our free one day conference and exhibition where the editorial team asks the most knowledgeable industry personalities to take part in our celebration of design technology.

This year we have managed to get a fantastic line up of industry speakers, designers, engineers, and software developer CEOs and CTOs to look at what is cutting edge now and what is coming in the not too distant future.

Last year’s event was a huge success. To push the boundaries further, DEVELOP3D LIVE 2013 expands by doubling both the number of talks and the number of exhibitors on the day.

We have free training on Siemens NX, tours of the Warwick Manufacturing Group’s facilities as well as plenty of time for essential networking opportunities.

Based on feedback from last year we have made some changes to the day by grouping talks into sessions covering specific themes.

Due to the simultaneous nature of the conference we strongly recommend you bring a number of delegates from your firm to ensure that you get the maximum benefit.

We can’t stress enough just how impressive the collection of speakers is this year. There hasn’t been such a top level design technology event in our industry for over a decade.

Exhibition and more

On the day there will be an extensive exhibition, free training on Siemens NX and regular organised trips to the Warwick Manufacturing Group’s facilities.

The night before the event, on April 15 we are hosting a networking evening for speakers, delegates, exhibitors and the DEVELOP3D team. We recognize that many of you had a very early start last year to get to the conference and so are offering low-cost accommodation the night before at £60+VAT.

We welcome you to have drinks with us and meet some of the key industry players. The fee also includes dinner and breakfast.

To reserve your place check the accommodation box on the registration form.

Room 2

Product design & engineering session

Digging deeper into product design and engineering we have a series of leading designers and technologists discuss their experiences with getting their products to market. How technology helped or hindered their dreams to reality.

Gustavo Fontana, industrial designer

The session ends with an interactive Q&A.

Speakers include: Gustavo Fontana, industrial designer; Tom Lawton, Bubblescope; Glen Smith, CEO Driveworks.

Design visualisation and rendering session

A picture paints a thousand words and there are some stunning rendering tools out there.

We have the best customers and developers on stage to show what the current state of the art is and how it can be used to bring designs to life.

Room 3

Simulation session (in association with NAFEMS)

We are running a focused simulation session in partnership with NAFEMS (International Association of the Engineering Modelling, Analysis and Simulation Community).

We have a talented crew to take us through the practical application of numerical engineering simulation techniques such the Finite Element Method for Structural Analysis, computational Fluid Dynamics, and Multibody Simulation.

The session ends with an interactive Q&A.

Speakers include: Derek Cooper, Autodesk, others to be announced

Workstation session

Nobody ever complains that their workstation is too fast.

Our hardware track will offer practical advice and insights on how to improve performance of workstations for design applications.

The session ends with an interactive Q&A.

Speakers include: Rob Jamieson AMD FirePro Graphics, Dell and others

Room 4

3D printing & prototyping session

Probably the hottest topic in the universe comes down to earth at DEVELOP3D LIVE.

Dr. Phil Reeves, MD of Econolyst
