Verisurf X9 includes major changes to its modules

The new release of Verisurf X9 3D measurement software includes the addition of Verisurf Solids, a complete 3D solid modelling application, as well as major enhancements to each of the modules that comprise the Verisurf solution.

Three main components – CAD, Measure, Analysis and Reverse – which were previously cost add-ons, are now included in the Verisurf CAD module.

This change allows users of the module to create and edit solid models; perform raster-to-vector conversion of images and photos; true shape nesting of 3D geometry for use in composite materials, and 3D printing.
New scanning features include ‘speed menu’ options for point cloud and mesh objects to greatly reduce the time necessary to scan, align and inspect part data.

In an improved point cloud display with shading, the fine details of live scans look better and appear in real-time as the data is collected.

Analysis functionality has been optimised for increased speed and accuracy when using large scan data with the capability to process and display a reported one million points per second in real-time.

These enhanced capabilities have allowed new productivity features, including a ‘Do It’ icon to run the macro for quick alignment, registration, analysis, and reporting.

“With the release of Verisurf X9 we continue to close the gaps in being able to maintain a digital thread between design, manufacturing, and quality inspection,” said Verisurf Software president Ernie Husted. “Verisurf users continue to provide practical insight necessary to help guide our software development.”

Verisurf X9 was previously released to existing maintenance customers in November, 2015 but is now available for new customer deployment.
