EZtol is set to work with files from most major CAD systems

To be officially unveiled at SolidWorks World next week, Sigmetrix has offered us a preview of its latest 1-Dimensional tolerance stackup analysis program EZtol.

Most stackup analyses are defined in spreadsheets, most commonly Microsoft Excel, but often spreadsheets don’t tell the full story, leading Sigmetrix to turn its attentions to a 1D product for designers.

“We know not everyone needs, or believes they need, a solution as powerful as [Sigmetrix product] CETOL 6σ, so this new solution should be of great interest to mechanical designers and engineers who are involved in CAD-modeling activities,” said a Sigmetrix spokesperson.
Sigmetrix states that EZtol will automate many of the common but time-consuming and often error-prone tasks required for 1D stackup analyses, offering a more complete picture than traditionally obtained from a spreadsheet calculation, which can alert the user in many situations when the tolerance stackup may not be 1D in nature.

EZtol is set to work with files from most major CAD systems, and does not utilise the CAD license to work on the model.
