With the latest AMD Radeon Pro Enterprise driver (19.Q3) designers and engineers can experience wireless VR for select professional applications using Radeon ReLive for VR.
To deliver the untethered VR experience, the rendering is done on any ‘VR Ready’ AMD Radeon Pro WX series GPU (WX 7100, WX 8200 and WX 9100) and then streamed over WiFi to the VR headset. AMD supports the HTC Vive Focus Plus and Google Daydream.
AMD has tested Radeon ReLive for VR with Solidworks eDrawings VR. You can learn more about ReLive for VR with the HTC Vive Focus Plus in the video above.
Meanwhile AMD is highlighting performance gains for users of Siemens NX with its new 19.Q3 driver. According to AMD, the Radeon Pro WX 7100 is up to 51 percent faster than the Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000.
