Dassault Systèmes’ 3D visualisation system can bring the interiors of private planes to life

A partnership between Dassault Systèmes (DS) and international engineering consultancy Assystem is looking to transform the development and delivery of personalised aircraft cabins.

Aviation companies will now be able to use DS’ “Passenger Experience industry solution experience based on the 3DExperience platform” – so far, so ‘experience’ – yet this will leverage Assystem’s dedicated integration and engineering services, as well as 50 years of industry experience.

The majority of this seems to revolve around the 3D visualisation capabilities offered by DS to give companies an integrated cabin customisation and personalisation solution that will design, validate and simulate future in-flight experiences.

The VR experience can also be used to train cabin crew before manufacture of the plane has even begun

3D visualisation not only to offer quick turnaround on new design concepts and allows marketing before manufacture, while also ensuring the final product meets expectations.

It is thought that cabin crew members can also use the technology to prepare for future passenger journeys using visual interactive training on technical systems.

“Our partnership with Dassault Systèmes and its ‘Passenger Experience’ industry solution experience combines decades of specialisation in the aviation industry and is a further demonstration of our desire to continue to offer innovative solutions to the market,” said a breathless Jeff Hoyle, vice president aerospace, Assystem.

“Jointly we can help transform aircraft cabin design innovation into a manufacturable and certifiable product that will delight passengers.”
