It’s very rare that we publish anything on industry appointments, but the news that Rize 3D has unveiled Kishore Boyalakuntla as vice president of product poses some interesting questions for both the company he joins and has left in order to take up the new role.
A veteran of nearly 15 years at SolidWorks, Boyalakunta served in multiple roles, including VP of product portfolio management – representing something of a coup to Rize’s company progression as an enterprise-focussed bench top 3D printer company.
“We are thrilled to have Kishore join us in this exciting growth phase of the company,” said Rise president and CEO Andy Kalambi. “Kishore’s unique combination of deep customer, product and sales expertise, will have a profoundly positive impact, not only on Rize business, but also on the growth of our customers’ and partners’ businesses.”
It suggests that Rize is gearing up for a renewed push into the 3D printing industry, which has seen solid competition in the pro-desktop space, while it asks questions about changes at the top levels at SolidWorks and Dassault Systèmes.
