Campfire has expanded its spatial collaboration platform to include support for headsets from HTC and Varjo.
Headsets that have access to Campfire include HTC Vive Pro 2, HTC Vive Focus Vision, Varjo XR-3 and the Varjo XR-4 series.
Increasing availability makes Campfire available across a broader set of use cases. The platform already provides support for devices including iPads, Macs, desktop computers and Meta Quest.
Campfire previously expanded to include Meta Quest in 2023 Apple Vision Pro in 2024. The success of both of these expansions encouraged the addition of HTC and Varjo headsets.
Headsets are often used by design and engineering teams to gain new, immersive perspectives on designs that are otherwise only viewed on screens. Campfire anticipates the use of its software across multiple tools, including computers and headsets, for integrated experiences.
It allows users to join each other from different locations to discuss and collaborate on designs. This avoids the need to create expensive prototypes that slow down the design process.
Designers using any type of compatible device can join a review and share projects via links with other Campfire users.
Campfire offers free plans for individuals and yearly subscription plans for businesses.
“The VIVE product portfolio is designed to deliver cutting-edge XR experiences for users across industries, and we’re thrilled to see Campfire leverage VIVE Pro 2 and VIVE Focus Vision to enable truly collaborative workflows,” said president Americas at HTC VIVE Dan O’Brien.
“This partnership represents a significant step forward in how professionals interact, design, and innovate together in immersive environments.”
